Update: May 15th, 2020

Since we began registration last January, the world has changed in ways that none of us could have predicted.

We intend to move forward with our baseball season, though we realize not all of you will be comfortable moving forward with us. Please use the survey attached to this post to indicate your player's participation for this year.

We know that just as some families will play no matter what, and there are some who have known for a while that baseball would not be right for them this year. We also know that some of you need more information in order to make the best decision for your family.

We are attaching the document that the State of Ohio has prepared, which outlines the regulations that every league is required to follow this year. Please read this through, and be sure you and your family are comfortable participating in the environment described.

Though we still have many details that will need to be worked out, there are a few things that we have determined.

  • Practices will begin June 1st, with games planned to begin in mid-June.
  • The season will conclude at the end of July.
  • All divisions will play all games at Evan's field in Hebron only, with the exception of Varsity. As we are only able to field one Varsity team within our league, they will play teams from other leagues, both as home and away teams.

We realize that circumstances are different for every family, and urge you all to make the decision with which you are most comfortable. We are very aware that teams may need to be restructured in some divisions in response to the new circumstances. We had a request to make this form anonymous, which we cannot do since we need to know who plans to continue and who does not, but we hope you will feel comfortable knowing that we understand that baseball is not right for everyone this year.

If you volunteered as a coach this year, please read the document from the state carefully and be sure you are comfortable with the new expectations. If your decision to coach has changed, please notify the league directly.

If you have questions or concerns, please let us know as soon as possible. We appreciate all responses being submitted by May 24th, so we that we can have an accurate final count to move forward. Thank you!
